Download Talpatra Scan
Talpatra Scan isn't on the Play Store yet. Right now the only real download channel is a signed APK on GitHub Releases — the same build a Play Store listing would ship, just without the store in front of it.
GitHub Releases (recommended)
A signed APK, published directly to a GitHub release. If you useObtainium— an app that tracks GitHub Releases and auto-updates APKs it installed from there — Talpatra Scan will work with it out of the box once the repo is public: point Obtainium at it and it'll pick up new releases the same way an F-Droid or Play Store app would auto-update. If you don't know what Obtainium is, you don't need it: just wait for the download button below to go live and install the APK directly.
This button will turn into a real link the day the first signed release is published on GitHub — there's nothing to download yet. Android will warn about installing from outside the Play Store once it does; that's expected for a sideloaded APK, and the file will be signed and verifiable.

Talpatra Scan is closed-source today, which rules out F-Droid's build-from-source requirement. F-Droid distribution is on the table only if the app goes open-core later — no date promised, not a commitment for this release.
What you're installing
The APK is closed-source — the source isn't public — but it's a single signed build you can verify, not a black box that phones home. Talpatra Scan never requests the Android INTERNET permission, and that's enforced at build time: a Gradle task fails the build outright if the permission reappears in the merged manifest. There's no ad SDK, no account, and no cloud sync to leave a trace of. It's free right now, built and maintained by one developer.
